I like to add RSS to my website but I like to know do I need to manually update each time I have new info on my site or it automatically update.

You do not, but it requires some method translating the data into RSS. Yahoo! Answers, for example, has many automatic RSS feeds.
It depends on how your web site is set up now. Most blog sites such as LiveJournal generate RSS feeds automatically. So can content management systems such as Drupal or blog software like WordPress.
